shopping - September Empties 2012!

Hey lovelies,

It's that time of month again, and not the awful time, but the time where I share my empties with you.
If you've never tried to complete a list of empties, let me tell you that it is enthralling.
I love it.

I love using things up that I've had forever and tossing them into a black Sephora bag and then hoarding them all up until I can make a post like the one I'm currently typing. Using things up gives me some weird right to buy even more things. And in this specific post, I'll be letting you know what I thought about these products. Read on for my thrilling adventures of using products!

It's just nice to know that things I actually buy, I actually use.

Now, it may not look like a lot, but it is. I threw in the empty gum box for fun. I love gum.

Bath and Body Works Paris Amour Bubble Bath: Would I buy this again? Definitely not. It starts off with a lovely bunch of bubbles and quickly deflates into small, frothy foamies, until it depletes to nothing. You wouldn't have even been able to tell that there was any bubble bath used at all. I like my baths to run with bubble bath before I get in, and with bubbles that stay there long enough for that to happen. Unfortunately, I bought another bottle in the "Enchanted" scent. The Paris amour scent on it's own is incredible, floral and girly and very feminine, but this bubble bath formula falls flat.

Eyes Lips Face Shine Eraser Blotting Sheets: These little sheets are excellent. I've managed to keep a sleeve of these everywhere for the past little while. I've never used the Clean and Clear blotting sheets, but these do a perfect job of blotting away any signs of oil on my face. The $1 price tag makes it easy for me to keep these everywhere from my purse to my backpack to my gym bag to my locker. They truly are an excellent find, and I've already repurchased a pack to replace these ones.

Bath and Body Works Malibu Heat Body Lotion: I believe I've mentioned Malibu Heat in a couple blog posts before, and boy, do I love it. Though it came to the time where I just had to let go of it, and find a new Fall scent, Getting rid of this bottle was the most tedious, obsessive process I've ever come across. I used it day and night. I used it when I got home from school. I often offered pumps of lotion to friends. I used it during class. I used it when I didn't need it, and then I used it again. You get the point, I was determined to use this up before September ended, and here I am with an empty bottle and a happy heart. I'll definitely be going back to this scent next year, and as for the actual body lotion formula, it was a lovely lightweight lotion for everyday use. I would know.

Strawberry Lady Speed Stick: Not too much to be said about this one. It was a deodorant. It mostly did it's job, I only found that it made my underarms itch. (tmi?) I've found another brand to replace it.

Aussie Moist Shampoo: Yep, I definitely covered up the bottle for this in the picture. Oops. I have a problem with using up shampoo before I use up conditioner. Where I've gone through two bottle of this shampoo since stumbling across it, I've only used up one bottle of conditioner. I can't say it's done much for me. I adore the smell and the texture, but I still find my hair to be dry. I really wanted to like this shampoo for more than the scent, but I won't be repurchasing, despite the half bottle of conditioner I've still got...

Eyes Lips Face Makeup Remover Wipes: These wipes are absolute perfection. I've heard that not everybody enjoys them, and I am not one of those people. They don't smell awful, they don't run into my eyes when I take off my waterproof mascara, and they actually have the ability to take off my waterproof mascara. I got into the habit of using one for only my eye makeup, putting it back in the package and then using it the next night. I'm not sure how hygienic that is, but it worked for me. I'm really disappointed in the wipes I bought to replace these, I thought I could do better. I was wrong.

Various Hand Sanitizers from Bath and Body Works (3): I can't say much about how well these actually sanitize, i'm no scientist, but I can tell you that they are so convenient  You can buy holders for them, key chain-like things that enable you to constantly keep these at your side, and I love that. I've already repurchased a few more, and I would recommend these simply on the variety of scents and the variety of holders to take them with you wherever you go.

Maybelline Dream Matte Powder: Now, I only use this to put over my concealer and tinted moisturizer. I don't use it for extreme coverage, simply to keep oil at bay and give my makeup a more polished look. It does everything I want it to. When I finished it, I thought about going into MAC and finding something fancier and more expensive to use, but then I came to my senses. Why would I? For $6, you won't find anything better than this powder. I've already repurchased it and will probably use it for the rest of my life. In all seriousness.

Well, this ends my first ever empties post! I had such a good time finishing up products, is that weird? I can't wait to show you guys what I manage to finish in October.

Until next time.
