summer 2016 - Bronzer for Fair girls

I can finally say, that as one of the palest people I've come into contact with, that I have found the perfect bronzing powders for my fellow fair girls. I have always been nervous about bronzing, really, I don't think I understood the point of bronzing up my face. I knew that wearing bronzer would be far too obvious, bronzer has always been several shades darker than my natural tone, compared to the few shades darker it might be for others. With the introduction of contouring and the rise of the Instagram cheekbone, I was able to experiment more with shading my face and in the process, have found the best product that work for me. I can say that I'm no expert, but I now have the confidence to wear bronzer daily and am able to switch it up even without a fake tanned face. I've narrowed it down to my top 3 powders. 1) Pixi Summertime Bronzer with Kabuki - $18 - Target.com Receiving this product years ago in my Ipsy bag introduced me to it, and since unsubscribing from...

shopping - Spring Skincare 2016

Spring has finally reached Vancouver, 6 months of uncomfortable weather is behind us, and while I'm ready to break out the dresses and put my parka into storage, my wardrobe isn't the only thing that changes during the sunny months. My skincare routine gets updated, and new products are put into rotation. 1) SPF, SPF, SPF! I have vivid memories of my fair skinned mother slathering sunscreen on my nose, and my protests were met with "You'll thank me when you're older". As an adult, I can say that among the many things I have my mother to thank for, the constant use of sunscreen is one of them. SPF should be worn year-round, so this may not be news to some of you SPF devotees, but being able to see the sun now should be your reminder to apply sunscreen everyday. The formula's of sunscreens are improving every year, there's no excuse for not incorporating it into your routine. I usually apply it with my makeup and take it in my bag with me for the da...

shopping - Biore Baking Soda Vox Box

Hi girlies! I know it's been a while since my last post, but my latest VoxBox called for a blog awakening. Influensters latest VoxBox was sent to me a few weeks ago, and I've finally come to a decision on the products they sent me. Influenster sends reviewer products for free, and only asks that we complete review challenges and let them know what we think of what we've been sent. Included in my VoxBox (and I hadn't received one in a little while, maybe since Sept 2014? I was over the moon) were two brand new products from Biore, the Baking Soda Pore Cleanser, and the Baking Soda Cleansing Scrub, the scrub enclosed in it's own little ziploc, and a card (in French?) telling me all about the products. Luckily, a good friend of mine also received the VoxBox and was able to send me an english pic. I love that my friends are also involved in Influenster, there's so much fun in trying out a new product together and swapping thoughts and how our skin has reacted. ...
