shopping - Nails of the week!

Image
I've been completely obsessed with the Nailtini Millionaire nail polish I received in my ipsy bag back in November, it just strikes me as such a December polish. The glitter and gold remind me of Christmas parties, the star on top of my tree annd the Christmas lights on my house. I haven't yet tried it alone over my nails, but during these couple of December weeks, it's been over Sephora by OPI's "Who's Spinning Tonight?" (Dark Purple) and Rimmel's "Urban Purple" (Magenta).

shopping - Pretty Committee by Benefit!

Image
So this should have been posted AGES ago, but since I've got the night off and a candle burning, I thought I would get right back into a product review.  Benefit's Pretty Committee comes with 4 makeup products, and a handy makeup bag to keep all of them (and more) in. I thought it would be a good time to share my thoughts on this little set, considering it would make a perfect Christmas gift for any fellow makeup junkie. It retails for $42 here in Canada, though I'm sure it goes for much less in the US.  Included in this adorable package are 4 products, High Beam, Bella Bamba Blush, Eye Bright, and Stay Don't Stray. Many of these items are full size, with High Beam being the only exception, but understandable. A little bit of High Beam goes a long way, and I don't see myself using up this tiny deluxe sample size anytime soon! This "eye-brightening" product comes in pencil stick form, and appears quite a light pink when swatched on my ...

shopping, stark, sydney - update! on everything!

Good evening! I was just about to go to bed when I decided that I would let you guys know about a quick update on all of the wonderful things that have been going on lately :) Stark: - Pokemon Black 2! I picked it up, and I'm absolutely having the best time playing it. It's lovely. I was (and still am) an avid player of the first generation, which many people argue is the best generation, and I love this game. I was hesitant to buy B&W, because of my unfamiliarity of the new Pokemon, but Black 2 is flawless. I love how much online they have included in the game and how they have also included Pokemon from generations before from the very beginning of the game. In many other games, you have to beat the entire game and acquire the National Pokedex in order to catch Pokemon from other regions. I thought they did a good job of keeping new Pokemon trainers happy, along with the old ones by using older Pokemon. I'm only about halfway through, I'll do a complete re...

shopping - project pan?? (again?)

Hey ladies! (and gentlemen?) I've got a couple moments to spare before Supernatural comes on, so I thought that I would mention something new that I'm trying this month, or couple of months, perhaps. I'm not buying makeup until the end of November. (Mac's holiday line comes out then, I love me a good Mac holiday collection) I mentioned Project Pan in a couple of other posts, and If you've never heard of it, you commit to using up a couple products, as many as you would like, either until they're gone or within a specific time span. I thought this would be fun to try simply because it would help me keep my spending in check and allow me to be thankful for all of the lovely makeup I currently have. I know it'll be tough, I know I'll have to avoid Sephora and Target, but hopefully it's worth it! Here's a couple of things I'd love to see gone from my collection Rimmel Vinyl Gloss Lip Gloss in Love bug Sunsilk Straighten Up! Shampoo Sun...

shopping - September Empties 2012!

Image
Hey lovelies, It's that time of month again, and not the awful time, but the time where I share my empties with you. If you've never tried to complete a list of empties, let me tell you that it is enthralling. I love it. I love using things up that I've had forever and tossing them into a black Sephora bag and then hoarding them all up until I can make a post like the one I'm currently typing. Using things up gives me some weird right to buy even more things. And in this specific post, I'll be letting you know what I thought about these products. Read on for my thrilling adventures of using products! It's just nice to know that things I actually buy, I actually use. Now, it may not look like a lot, but it is. I threw in the empty gum box for fun. I love gum. Bath and Body Works Paris Amour Bubble Bath: Would I buy this again? Definitely not. It starts off with a lovely bunch of bubbles and quickly deflates into small, frothy foamies, until it deple...

shopping - fun idea: shop your drawers!

Image
Hello, my lovely lovely readers, I was just itching to write up a post for you guys, and I came up with the most perfect idea. Over the course of my entire makeup collecting "career", I've always had a habit of not opening everything that I buy. I've seen so many girls go out and buy things, open them right away, try them out, and toss them aside, never to be seen again. This is most common in people who like trying new things or, like myself, are complete shopaholics. I've developed a small solution to this problem, that keeps things fun and new whenever you're looking to use a new product. In my house, I've got a small drawer, filled with all of my hair products, nail polish, and lotions, and right at the bottom is this fancy drawer. Basically, this drawer is filled with everything I have yet to open. Take a peek and you'll find shaving cream, Luna bars (what?!), some Target makeup wipes that were recommended to me, an endless abyss of ...

sydney, shopping - school, hauls, and disneyland, oh my!

Image
Hey guys! So, I totally just got back from The Happiest Place on Earth, Disneyland! My best friend and I got together for a trip before school began, and boy, was it lovely. We shopped a bit, hit up the pool a couple of times, and just generally did what our hearts desired. I'll tell you right now that I'm completely broke after California, but the good thing about that is that there are haul pictures and mini reviews ahead!  These are a couple things I grabbed on one of our Target runs. I'm actually writing this post in place of my Pre-Calculus homework, I'll get it done, eventually... Don't mind the giant package of Oreos, I couldn't help but let loose a little bit on vacation! A couple of the things in this picture include leggings (grey and black), a polka dot makeup bag, The Colossal Mascara by Maybeline, Avengers pencils, e.l.f. natural lashes, e.l.f. brush spray, DUO eyelash adhesive in black and the following! A lot of these products were bought ...

August Favourites 2012!

Hey ladies! (and guys?) I've put together my favourites for this month already, I'm heading out to California in a couple of days, and thought I'd throw this on my blog before I forget! I've really been focusing on my makeup collection this month, purchasing a lot of new things, while also trying to use up what I've got. I'd love to put up another haul post with my new things for the month when I've got a moment as well. Let's get started with all my favourites in beauty, gaming, tv, and music! Beauty   Clean and Clear Essentials Deep Cleaning Toner I've actually got a cute story to go with this one-real quick! I used this a little while back, and since using up my Clinique toner, I went back to it because of a deal I saw in store. Target has banned plastic bags where I live, and not wanting to pay for a paper one, Clean and Clear had a deal that if I bought two products, I'd get a reusable bag free. So this is the toner I went with. It...

shopping - project 10 pan, part 2!

Hey there, it's been a while. It has been almost a year since I began this blog, or actively using this blog. I like to call that summer "The summer where I wept all the time and did nothing but shop and go to the gym by myself." You see, this summer has been quite different. I've been busy, busy, busy with everything from my boyfriend (shocker, right?) to my job to taking a summer school class to get my ass into university next year. I'd like to try to keep up with this blog though, gives me something to do with my time when I'm not seeing my boy, working my butt off on a treadmill, or handing out fried food and telling people to have a nice day.  I barely have the time of day to put on makeup anymore. Oh, the horror. So I thought I would begin another P10P, because I really did enjoy doing my other one last year. As an update, yes, I did get through all of those products.  So here we go, Project 10 Pan, 2012! - Victoria's Secret self ta...
