shopping - fun idea: shop your drawers!

Hello, my lovely lovely readers,

I was just itching to write up a post for you guys, and I came up with the most perfect idea. Over the course of my entire makeup collecting "career", I've always had a habit of not opening everything that I buy. I've seen so many girls go out and buy things, open them right away, try them out, and toss them aside, never to be seen again. This is most common in people who like trying new things or, like myself, are complete shopaholics. I've developed a small solution to this problem, that keeps things fun and new whenever you're looking to use a new product.

In my house, I've got a small drawer, filled with all of my hair products, nail polish, and lotions, and right at the bottom is this fancy drawer.

Basically, this drawer is filled with everything I have yet to open. Take a peek and you'll find shaving cream, Luna bars (what?!), some Target makeup wipes that were recommended to me, an endless abyss of hand sanitizer, and as many bottles of bath and body works concoctions the drawer will hold. I absolutely love having this drawer. I buy things, I toss them into the drawer when I know in the back of my mind that I really should use something else up first, and when I do, I get to "shop my drawer" as many people "shop their stash." In my opinion, it's much better to keep things sealed rather than opening them, and put off using them until much later.

And about those Luna Bars? I love 'em. I keep them away from my family. I'm probably a bad person. Oh well.

Here we've got all my unopened Bath and Body Works products. Malibu Heat has been discontinued (damn!) so stock up was inevitable, and those Buy 3, Get 3 sales always draw me in. It's always nice to go crazy in Bath and Body Works, toss them into the drawer, and not worry about running out of any shower gel or lotions. The tiny sample sizes are actually from a hotel room I stayed in, and I definitely need to buy the big sizes. I had no idea BABW made this lovely scent called "Rain-kissed leaves". The Neutrogena soaps are from the hotel as well, so soft and easy lathered.

I can't forget about the makeup side of things! I showed you guys a couple of these things already, but these are a few backups and new products. For me, it's so exciting (call me lame) when I get to open a new product once I've gotten all of the use out of a previous one. It just makes me feel much more "deserving" of a product rather than using tons of products in excess. I know I'm getting my money for each of the products I use, and it makes for a good empties post! I'm really excited to try out that e.l.f. eye primer, I've heard comparisons to the Urban Decay Primer Potion, which I have yet to use up.

I hope everyone's having a great week, I'm doing allright myself, tonight is one of those nights off work where I fill up on tea, write, clean, and catch up on some movies before going to be early. I'm really very boring.

Thanks for stopping by my blog, I'll talk to you guys later in the week!
