shopping - March Empties!

Image
Happy Easter, lovelies! I hope you're all having a good time snacking on Easter treats, and if you're not, well, Easter candy goes on sale this week so you will, or maybe that's just me.. I am pretty satisfied with the amount of products I've used up this month, I don't think it's as many as last month, but I can't complain. I'm beginning another Project Pan for the month of April, so I can continue to rotate the products in my collection.  Bath and Body Works Candles Island Margarita:  This is probably my favourite candle scent. Ever. It just smells so fresh and sweet and while I wouldn't request it in a body spray or lotion, it makes my room smell lovely and summery.  I have GOT to repurchase the giant one. Tiki Beach: A lighter scent, though I'm not going to put any readers through deciphering my terrible scent describing skills. I might repurchase, but only during a candle sale. Fresh Balsam: I've got only one...

shopping - E.L.F. New Jumbo Pencils review!

Image
Good Evening! I'm pretty happy, as I've got a nice candle burning, and a couple of Oreos in front of me, so it's time for a review! Today I'm taking a look at Eyes Lips Face's new jumbo pencils. I mentioned these guys already in my Target haul, though I finally got a chance to try them out and form an opinion. Let's just get right into it. Jumbo Lip Gloss Stick in Movie Star  Now, what did I think about this product? I liked it. the $2 price tag drew me in and my general faith in E.L.F. products made me want to try it. I love E.L.F. because really, if you don't like something, you just turf it. You only paid around $1-$3. The product twists up from the bottom, the bottom colour indicating the colour in the tube. It seems to come with a fair amount of product considering the price tag, and the product itself is encased in a white tube with a clear lid. These aren't stains, but they are well wearing lip glosses. They felt moisturizing enough an...

shopping - Target and Lush haul!

Image
Good morning, lovelies! I'm back today with a quick Target and Lush haul, with some first impressions. I really only make a trip to Target every two months and let myself go a little crazy with my saved up money, and Lush only gets love every once in a while. I'm pretty good about savouring my Lush products, but I am super excited about their Easter items. I already know that I'm going to have to go back for more. From Target: Suave Dry Shampoo: It was between the original and the new Keratin one, and I went with the original, which I have heard good things about. I have yet to try this one out, but I'll have a review up as soon as I do! Aussie 3 Minute Miracle: A repurchase, or rather, a backup. I adore this deep conditioner. So incredibly cheap and makes my hair so soft. It smells great and leaves my hair smooth and shiny. I would recommend this a hundred times over. Vaseline Spray & Go in Shea Butter: I like this, so far. It's a spray on ...

Friday Night Nails - Nails of the Week, Easter Egg Pink!

Image
Good Morning! As a result of my weekly Friday Night Nail sessions, I've come up with my favorite Easter combination. A randomly picked up polish from Urban Planet (here in Canada), and a Sinful Colors glitter in Pinky Glitter. The colour from Urban Planet is a Nabi polish in 72 Pastel Pink. These polishes were on sale for 5 for $10 and I am impressed. The formula is very thick, and the smell is much stronger then other polishes, but the lasting power is there. I paired my mani with Revlon's Extra Life No Chip Top Coat, and also added a few of the Sally Hansen Insta Dry Speed drops, which I am completely obsessed with. As for Pinky Glitter, it really is the perfect pink glitter. I've paired it over numerous pink polishes these past couple of weeks, and even over a mint, and it looked fantastic. I know it will remain a favorite for the coming months. Has anybody else tried Nabi polishes? Let me know what you think in the comments! Sydney :)

shopping - March 2013 Ipsy Bag

Image
Good afternoon! I was so impressed with how quickly I received my bag this month, as a Canadian subscriber, I'm used to it taking much longer. I checked my pink envelope and discovered that Ipsy seems to have opening a new shipping branch close to where I live, which is exciting for all future bags to come.  Although, I'll admit that I'm not too impressed with this month's bag, and I know that not everybody is.  Before you, are the contents of this months bag. Doesn't seem like a whole lot, does it? It does add up to 5, though, 1 hydrating mist, some makeup wipes, a palette and 2 eyeshadows.  My first impressions of these products 1. Juice Beauty Hydrating Mist - Claims to tone and refresh, meant to apply at anytime for a refreshed complexion. I think this will be going in my gym bag, as it's not a makeup setting spray, but the smell is terrible. I like that it's organic, but I can only see myself using this when my face is sweaty.  ...

shopping - Skincare favourites!

Image
Hello lovelies! I know I've been MIA for a little while, but that's what senior year does to me. But I'm back with a post about my favourite skincare products at the moment! This won't be only facial skincare, because I threw in my favourite foor cream and body lotion at the moment. (Starting from the top left, clockwise) Feet: Julep's "Best Pedi Cream Ever!" I recieved this in my first (and last) Julep Maven box. It smells like freshly sliced cucumbers, and though I won't be repurchasing it simply because I'm not a fan of Julep as a company, and it's overpriced, but it's a lovely product. It's not thick like many foot lotions I've tried, but still effective. It has definitely improved my heels and the balls on my feet, a perfect cream after a long day at work and a shower! Body: Victoria's Secret Pink Soft and Dreamy Supersoft Body Lotion. What a mouthful! I bought this lotion to use with the body mist, which has en...
