shopping - March Empties!

Happy Easter, lovelies!

I hope you're all having a good time snacking on Easter treats, and if you're not, well, Easter candy goes on sale this week so you will, or maybe that's just me..

I am pretty satisfied with the amount of products I've used up this month, I don't think it's as many as last month, but I can't complain. I'm beginning another Project Pan for the month of April, so I can continue to rotate the products in my collection.

Bath and Body Works Candles

Island Margarita: This is probably my favourite candle scent. Ever. It just smells so fresh and sweet and while I wouldn't request it in a body spray or lotion, it makes my room smell lovely and summery.
I have GOT to repurchase the giant one.

Tiki Beach: A lighter scent, though I'm not going to put any readers through deciphering my terrible scent describing skills. I might repurchase, but only during a candle sale.

Fresh Balsam: I've got only one more Christmas candle left and then I'm done! I purchase this candle every year, because it smells exactly like a Christmas tree, though I found it was still pleasant burning it even in the spring. I will repurchase, but only when BABW brings it back.

Body Products and Hair

Be Enchanted Bubble Bath: I've mentioned before how I'm not a big fan of BABW bubble bath. I just find that they don't bubble as well as I wished they did, and they don't last long. I will not be repurchasing this.

PINK Soft & Dreamy Body Mist: Body sprays are just not my thing. I'm more of a perfume girl, so this won't be repurchased. I always just feel like body sprays cost too much for what they really are and how they perform. It smelled nice and clean but I'm sure happy its gone.

Veet Aloe Vera Hair Removing Cream: I will never touch this stuff again in my entire life. I managed to make it work near the end, but let me tell you about this hair removal cream. It burns, it stings, it leaves me with irritated bumps all over my legs, it left me red, and on top of that, you literally need to use half the bottle to remove any hair. I only used it on my legs, but I had to slather on tons for it to even work a little bit. I don't know what I was thinking when I picked this up, but I'll just stick with a razor and shaving cream for now.

Banana Boat Kids Sunscreen, SPF 50: I believe I picked this up at a dollar store to keep in my purse, and bought the kids version because it had the highest SPF. My fair skin has the ability to burn within what feels like minutes, so I'm never without sunscreen. I would repurchase, though I found a nice lightly scented one from Hawaiian Tropic.

Sunsilk Straighten Up 24/7 Cream: I swear, when I finally used this product up, the angels sang and God smiled and for just a little bit, everybody felt a little bit happier. Or maybe that didn't happen, but it sure felt like it. I've had this in my collection for about 4 years. I can't bring myself to throw anything away that I know I will use, and I am beyond happy that I used up this damn thing. This did nothing for my hair, and I don't even think it's still sold. I just threw it in my hair after a shower for it's alright scent. I don't think I'll ever repurchase anything from Sunsilk.

Makeup

Maybelline's Colossal Mascara: One of my favourite mascaras ever. Adds excellent volume without being clumpy, and the giant brush plumps every single lash. I will definitely repurchase!

Annabelle Kohl Eyeliner in Lotus: I used to be a fan of this same eyeliner, except in black, but this one just has to go. I don't know if it's because it just dried out, but this eye pencil is awful. It tugs at my eyes, hurts to apply, and the colour pigmentation is non-existent without lots of pressure. I remember buying this and really never using it for those reasons, so I don't think drying out is a valid excuse, it's just always been bad. I will not repurchase.

E.L.F. Hypershine Lip Gloss in Flirt: This is something I have already repurchased, but in different colours. I loved how easy this was to apply, with the product that twisted up and into a brush. I didn't find it too thick, but it was a little sticky. Nonetheless, it's only $1 and a nice touch up product to keep in my bag.

E.L.F. Wet Gloss Lash and Brow Clear Mascara: Wouldn't be much of an empties without one of these guys. I love this product. I've already posted about it before, so I'll keep this short, but I go through one of these in about a month, and at only $1, I can afford to. I use both sides for only my brows, so I can't vouch for how this would work on lashes, but it works great for setting brows.

BonneBell Cafe Classics Quad (3rd colour): I finally finished this eyeshadow. It was a champagne colour that I used for everyday, and I was stubborn about using the entire quad. I finally snapped and realized that I had better quality eyeshadows in my collection, and passed both of my BonneBell quads onto my mom. The pigmentation was great, but I own better. I will not repurchase.

Misc.

Cotton Balls: Not much to say here, just that I have repurchased and use these for my toner and nail polish removal.

BABW Hand Sanitizers in Berry Sangria and Frosted Snowberry: I always have to have hand sanitizer with me. I've got one of those dorky holders hanging off of all my bags and it doesn't bother me one bit. I have repurchased these, as I always have backups. Both scents were nice, although the Berry Sangria scent truly smelled like somebody had opened up a cooler every time I used it, just a little too strong for my tastes.

E.L.F. Makeup Remover Wipes: This product is flipped around in the picture, as the front is just this gaping hole because I pulled off the snap closure to use on some new makeup wipes with a closure that didn't work for me. I loved these, and I hear about so many people who don't, and I don't get it. This removed all of my eye makeup, face makeup, you name it. It did feel like it may have left behind some residue, but really, who only uses a makeup wipe before bed? I always use a toner afterwards, so I had no problem with this product. I did, however, find a better alternative, which I mentioned in my skincare favourites, so I don't think I'll repurchase these.

Aeropostale Perfume in Bayla: Another product where I'm not sure what I was thinking. When I actually smell this perfume, it smells like cleaning supplies. Clean but with these weird underlying chemicals. I'm happy we're through, and it won't make it's way back into my collection.

Julep One-Step Polish Remover Pad: One Step?! More like 5! I didn't like this at all. I used two, though I misplaced the other packaging. I received three in my New Years Mystery Box, but I hated them. These pads dried up before I even finished both hands, and don't even bother using these on glitter nail polishes. I was actually shocked to find that all of the polish remover seemed to have disappeared by the time I reached my right hand. I'm sticking with my $2 bottle of remover and my $1 stack of cotton pads, no fancy, useless Julep pads for me.

So there it is! All my empties for this month. As I mentioned, I'm not buying any makeup for the month of April, and I'm a little nervous about it, but there will be many posts about it on the way. I hope all of you are enjoying this long weekend, and I can't wait to toss all of these things in the garbage for good!
