sydney, shopping - school, hauls, and disneyland, oh my!
Hey guys!
So, I totally just got back from The Happiest Place on Earth, Disneyland! My best friend and I got together for a trip before school began, and boy, was it lovely. We shopped a bit, hit up the pool a couple of times, and just generally did what our hearts desired. I'll tell you right now that I'm completely broke after California, but the good thing about that is that there are haul pictures and mini reviews ahead! These are a couple things I grabbed on one of our Target runs. I'm actually writing this post in place of my Pre-Calculus homework, I'll get it done, eventually...
Don't mind the giant package of Oreos, I couldn't help but let loose a little bit on vacation! A couple of the things in this picture include leggings (grey and black), a polka dot makeup bag, The Colossal Mascara by Maybeline, Avengers pencils, e.l.f. natural lashes, e.l.f. brush spray, DUO eyelash adhesive in black and the following!
A lot of these products were bought because of reviews or YouTube videos where I've heard a couple raves about them. These products include the e.l.f. eye primer, the Target makeup wipes, and the Maybelline Colour Tattoo in Bad to the Bronze.
First Look:
e.l.f. Total Face Brush: Right off the bat, don't bother! While this brush only costs a dollar at your local Target, the bristles are scratchy, and strangely enough, smell like a home improvement store. A weird comparison, but that's the only thing that comes to find when I run this over my face. The brush is easy to hold, but won't make up for the smelly, pokey bristles. I have no problem with tossing this brush when I'm done, I actually only had to pick one up because I definitely left all of my makeup brushes at home. (classic Sydney move)
Maybelline Color Tattoo in Bad to the Bronze: I loved this shadow, right away. It reminds me so much of a MAC Paint Pot from their Holiday 2011 collection, called Morning Frost. I use Morning Frost almost every single day and because it was only limited edition, thought I should start looking for a good dupe. Though I can notice creasing when it's time to take it all off, there was no major settling into my lids. When this is paired with another similar shadow, the staying power is better, I suggest any colour from the BonneBell Cafe Classics quad. The color is perfect for everyday, and worth trying for the cheap price of around $5.
Maybelline's The Colossal Mascara: This has to be my favourite mascara. The one I recently bought is a backup for when I've finished using my Waterproof version. While the Waterproof version does it's job just as well as the regular formula, It's always such a pain to remove it at the end of the day, there's always some amount left on my lashes, which is a mess to wake up to in the morning. This mascara truly does it all, it lengthens, gets every one of my little lashes, and is great for volumizing. The tube isn't too bulky and because of the bright yellow/purple colours, it's easy to find in my bag. Since finding this gem, I haven't wanted to stray from it one bit!
That's all for now, folks. It's back to the graphing calculator for me. Also, I didn't mention the Marie Claire in this haul, though I definitely recommend it. I'm not the biggest fan of Miley Cyrus, but her interview in it is excellent, not to mention all the new fall fashion and beauty articles, my favourite!
