shopping - Ipsy June 2013!
Good afternoon, lovelies!
I hope you've all been well, I'm been pretty well considering I've got two more days left of school until I officially become a graduate. I just received my Ipsy bag today, and I've got a few feelings about it already.

June Ipsy 2013
JCat Eyelashes and Eyelash Glue in C32 - $3.99
I felt like this product was an interesting choice for a subscription service. My only gripe about false eyelashes is that I feel I only ever get one use out of them. I like to receive products I can use over and over again, to get a feel for them. They're dramatic, for sure. These will get used, eventually, and while I'm doubtful of how well the glue will work, it wasn't the worst thing I could have gotten in this months Ipsy.
NYX Mosaic Powder in Dare - $7.00
I've been a long time fan of NYX. I was really happy to see that a blush was going to be in this month's bag, and when I pulled out a Mosaic blush, I was even happier. You can tell in the picture that I swirled all of the colours together for a swatch, as that's how I will be using this product. I think it has the perfect blend of bronze, plum, and pink to make the perfect summer blush. I think it's safe to say that this is my favourite product this month.
JCat Sparkling Cream Pallette - $4.49
I'm just going to begin by saying I don't know what the heck the people over at Ipsy were thinking when they sent this out. This looks like it was made for 6 years olds. It says on the website it's meant as body glitter, and why would we ever need that past the age of 10? The top layer is pure loose glitter, and the swatches are awful only because there was no way I was getting this all over the place. Glitter sticks around forever. I finally got down to the cream part of the product on the second colour, but I won't be using this. This might even make more sense to use for fun New Year's parties, but not for the middle of summer. Gross.
Cailyn Line Fix Gel Eyeliner in Purple - $21.00
This was another product I'm loving, and it came just in time to wear with my purple Grad dress. I love the idea of the brush in the packaging, and while it's not the angled one I'm used to, I love how it came with the product, and it works well. Gel eyeliners are my favourite, and the only frustrating thing about them is always lugging around a brush to use them. This product goes on well, and purple is a nice change from my regular black eyeliners. You made up for the glitter with this one, Ipsy. This is also another full size product, which is nice.
Starlooks Lip Pencil in Tipsy - $12.00
I'm really satisfied with this pencil. The colour is nice, it goes on well, and I've been wanting to try products from Starlooks for a while now. They have their own subscription service, which is why I thought it was funny to pull this product out of my Ipsy bag. The colour is going to be lovely for summer, and lip pencils are normally far less maintenance then lipsticks. Depending on how often I find myself using this, I might opt for a Starlooks box soon.
So, that's it!
I'm happy with this bag, not overly excited or anything, but I've had worse. I subscribe to Ipsy not because I really want to try new things, but because I love makeup and rather than buying things I'm not sure I need or will really use, whenever I want, I just wait for the makeup to show up for me and feel safe knowing I only spent $15 to get it. I find a lot of people complain about Ipsy (I've done it too) but when it comes down to it, it's still a fun treat every month, and we're really not paying too much for it. Even if they consider body glitter something we might actually use.
Total value of this months bag: $48.48.
I hope you're all having a lovely weekend, and I hope to have a couple reviews up soon, thanks for reading!
Sydney :)
