shopping - Drugstore Haul!

Good evening girls!

It's been a good week or two since I posted, but not much has been going on over on my end. I did, however, go a little nuts at my Shoppers Drug Mart and have lots to share with you!

I love Shoppers because of their points system. Basically, everytime you shop using your Optimum card, you earn points, and those points eventually add up to money that you can redeem. I always shop during their "20x The Points" events, and my fellow Canadians are probably familiar with the store and it's points system, because it's a great store for high end cosmetics, as well as drugstore. I wanted to earn some points today, and ended up with both points and a bunch of things!
From left to right:
Purminerals Bare It All Set: this caught my eye while I was working, it comes with a highlighter/bronzed duo, a lipstick, a liquid eyeliner pen, and a blush. This lot was an excellent value, and I thought it would be a nice way to get a peek of the brand. The blush is a lovely plummy rose, the bronzed isn't too dark for my pale skin, and though the highlighter is very shimmery, it looks pretty with a light hand. I haven't had the chance to put the eyeliner on my eyes, but swatched, it stays put and removed easily with a wet wipe. The lipstick is a darker nude with red tints, and I do like how subtle it is, but adds a nice glow to my whole face.

Lip Smackers Cupcake set: I actually bought this for my little sister, but I had to include it because it was only $3! I don't know if it was only the store I went to, but Shoppers was clearing out its entire Lip Smackers/Bonnebell shelf! I just though I should give you guys the heads up, because they make great stocking stuffers, or it might be nice to pick one up for the nostalgia factor.

Simple Soothing Facial toner: I don't know what it is but I love toner. It just adds another layer of "clean" (if that makes sense) I'm currently using Clean and Clear and I've found that it's way too harsh for my skin. I have high hopes for this one, and hopefully they're met.

Rimmel Lasting Finish foundation: this was actually an impulse purchase, I needed more foundation and I've been wanting to try a face product from Rimmel for a while now. I tried it on, and though this is the lightest colour, it's still too dark for me. I should be able to fix it by mixing in a lighter colour, and using light powder, but I'm disappointed in the colour range, but I like how it's not heavily fragranced, and the tube packaging.

Clear Strong Lengths Shampoo and Conditioner: I used a coupon and got one of these free, making them $3.88 for both bottles! I love this shampoo, It really cleans my hair, and leaves it smelling fantastic. I have yet to try the conditioners from Clear, but I never pass up stocking up on these because they can get pretty expensive.

Soap and Glory's Sexy Mother Pucker in Clear: I've been wanting to try this for so long, and I'm thinking now that I shouldn't have. Or at least gotten a different colour. It's super sticky, I can't feel a plumping effect at all, and now I just can't figure out where I could wear it. It smells like fake chocolate, and I can still smell it on my lips while I'm wearing it. I might be able to get away with wearing it at school, but I'm always eating and drinking, and this product would get all over the place.

Simple Cleansing Facial wipes: I got these free with a coupon, and that's really the only time I buy them. I love these, they're thick, fairly saturated, and get all of my makeup off. My biggest pet peeve is buying makeup wipes that don't work, because then I'm left with a $7 package of brush cleansing wipes. These are pretty pricey without a coupon, but they WORK.

Colgate Optic White Toothpaste: Okay, including my toothpaste is totally lame, but I just wanted to let you guys know that this works. My teeth have whitened up with regular brushing, and I can't see myself purchasing anything else anymore.

Elnett Satin Extra Strength Hairspray: This was also kind of an impulse buy, I knew I wanted to try this but I had only looked up a few reviews on MakeupAlley. I remember hearing that it smelled bad, but I picked up the scented version because I thought "Hey, it can't be that bad." And really, it's not TOO bad. It does kind if smell like old lady products. But I also think that Chanel No.5 smells like old ladies. And Chanel No.19. (Go ahead, unfollow me if you must) I don't think the smell is a huge issue, but I can't say much for holding power because I haven't fully tried it yet.

And there it is, a lot of money spent on things I just wanted, and it felt good. Hope you ladies are having a great week, my Ipsy October bag will be up soon!
