shopping - Ipsy November 2013!

Good morning girls!

This month's Ipsy has arrived, and I've got to say, I'm pretty impressed this month.

I remember as soon as "em" by Michelle Phan was announced, so many people thought that she would go ahead and put some em samples in Ipsy bags, considering she is the co-founder of Ipsy. It makes sense that it took her a couple of months to get everything sorted, and we all received full size em products this month, and I'm really satisfied with what I got.

Starlooks Gem Eyeliner in Amethyst (Full Size: $15) - I'm looking forward to using this over the holidays. It's a slightly purple, silvery eyeliner without chunky glitter, something I absolutely hate. I've worn it for a day already, and the staying power is great. While I'm kind of tired of getting these Starlooks pencils in my bags, there's no denying that the quality is acceptable. For whatever reason, I forgot to take a picture of the actual pencil, but the swatch is pretty.

Be a Bombshell Lip Crayon in Hot Damn (Full size: $13) - Honestly, the only lip crayons I'm really interested in are the ones from Revlon, but I can't complain about this product. It has a glossy finish, and it's well pigmented, so I don't mind another red in my collection. I would have enjoyed the other colour Ipsy was sending out, but this is handy to have to touch up high maintenance red lips.

em Cosmetics Pillow Plush lip balm in Vanilla (Full size: $15) - Unfortunately, em doesn't deliver to Canadians like  me yet, and even if they did, I wouldn't splurge without trying a few samples from Michelle Phans new line first. This product smells really nice, has super pretty packaging, and absorbs right into my lips. The colour isn't my favourite, but it's barely noticeable and does what it claims to. My only problem is the jar form, because I have to stick my finger in it every time to use it, but I'm grateful that we were sent full size products from em regardless.

Nailtini Nail Laquer in Champagne  (Full Size: $13) - I actually already own a colour just like this one, but I didn't mind receiving it because of Nailtini's awesome formulas. Actually, as soon as I saw this, I thought it would look pretty under Nailtini's Millionaire, a colour we previously received in November 2012's bag. I'll have to get this on my nails ASAP.

Pixi Bronzer in Summertime (Around half the full size: ~ $11): This colour reminds me a lot of the Park Avenue Princess bronzer by Tarte, and it's funny how I received this around the same time I got the Tarte blush palette with that bronzer in it. I like how I can suit it for my fair skin, and it doesn't look too dark or shimmery and unnatural. I know that this isn't full sized, but it's a very generous sample that will last me a while.

Total value of this month's Ipsy bag? $67!

Also, one of the first things I though about upon getting this bag was how well all the products work together. I don't find that's the case with all of the bags, but this one really struck me as super put together. Add some mascara and some blush, and you've got a great look for any parties you're attending this season. Is that weird? I'm probably just being weird. Until next time, girls.
