shopping - May Empties 2013!
Hi ladies!
I hope you don't mind the few and far between posts this month, last time I posted it was actually the last day of March..
I've been super busy, even resulting in getting a new job, which I'll announce when I start, I think it'll be a great compliment to my blog posts.
I'm here today with my May empties, and man, have I been working at them. I've made a list and I love crossing things off. This is just the tip of the iceberg with what I have to finish. What's really frustrating about empties is when you have things that are JUST about finished, but it just seems that they won't budge. I'm an empties fanatic, and seeing things that will just have to wait until next months post pains me.

I finished 19 items this month!
From left to right:
Paris Amour Fragrance Mist: I've mentioned it before, I'll mention it again, I hate body sprays. Although, this is my favourite scent, I wouldn't mind getting a full size just for freshening up when I get home from work or school. I might buy a full size body spray! What a feat!

Mango Paradise PocketBac: I love these Pocketbacs, I have tons. Mango Paradise was definitely a great scent, I'll be back to get more.
Would Repurchase
Eos Lip Balm in Strawberry Sorbet: I honestly do not understand the hype around this lip balm, I know it's just the gimmicky shape that makes it popular. I didn't find it moisturizing at all, but I am going to try out the medicated kind. It felt like it just stayed on top of my lips whenever I applied it.
Would Not Repurchase
Rainkissed Leaves Body Lotion: I'm done with all of my mini sizes of this scent, and I couldn't be happier. It was a boring scent, and I'm not even sure it can still be found in stores.
Would Not Repurchase
Clinique Self Tanning Lotion: There is no way I would ever spend any money on this ever again. I got this in a gift with purchase, but the smell is disgusting. It was allright in terms of tanning, but really, this was enough for maybe two applications. There are far better self tanners at the drugstore.
Would Not Repurchase
Dove Cleartone Anti-Perspirant: This claimed to help with underarm discolouration, which I never really had an issue with. I didn't notice it doing much, and the scent reminded me of kitchen cleaning products.
Would Not Repurchase
Eyes Lips Face Black Cream Eyeliner: Wow, I am so disappointed in this product, this time around. I've gone through these before, and have loved them, though this one dried up so darn quickly! I felt like I barely used it ten times before it completely dried up. I told a friend and we came to a conclusion that it could be that I just didn't screw on the top well enough, since my other pot lasted a good 6 months.
Would Repurchase
Sugar Fresh Rose: This lip balm was moisturizing, and I loved the subtle shade of red it gave me, but like many others, I refuse to spend $22 on a lip balm.
Would Not Repurchase
B. Kamins Maple Body Lotion: I received this in my Glossybox one month, and while I can appreciate that it's a Canadian brand, this was way too thin for me to enjoy.
Would Not Repurchase
Eclos Plant Stem Cells Anti-Aging Regenerative cream: I got this in an Ipsy bag, my first ever, actually. I could only use this at night, it was way too thick for morning use, but my skin wasn't oily at all the morning after. I wouldn't repurchase, only because it was too thick for me, but it IS a nice cream.

Garnier Fructis Triple Nutrition Shampoo: Honestly, I'm terrible at reviewing shampoos. I think I've mentioned before that I don't think they are in my hair long enough to actually do anything but clean it. This one smelled lovely and got the job done though, I'd reach for it again.
Would Repurchase
Tresemme Fresh Start Dry Shampoo: I've never seen such hatred towards a product as there is towards this one, and I didn't even mind this. It's not my favourite scent (Citrus) and it did blend into my hair well, but at times, it just made my hair feel more weighed down and dirty. I appreciated the way it absorbed oil but it might be better used simply for texturizing.
Would Not Repurchase
Fluffy Egg Bath Bomb: I am so over LUSH bath bombs. They're just so expensive for what they actually do, and sitting in scented, coloured water doesn't do a whole lot to improve my bath experience. I did like this one though, it smelled exactly like Snow Fairy, a scent I do love.
Would Not Repurchase
Angels Delight Soap: I love love love love love this soap! I picked this up when LUSH's Christmas items went on sale, and I got 100 g during their buy one, get one free deal. It's a shimmery pink-blue soap that leaves zero residue or shimmer when I'm out of the bath. It smells fantastic, like bubblegum but not too sweet. This also has lasted me forever. I cut it into chunks I can easily use, and the entire 200 g is still going strong even now.
Would Repurchase
Sex Bomb Bath Bomb: I have the same feelings about this bomb as I did for the Fluffy Egg one, I'm just over bath bombs. It smelled pleasant but the rose in the middle didn't unravel like I hoped it would. It was cute, but I won't go for it again.
Would Not Repurchase
The Carrot Reusable Bubble Bar: This bar has actually probably been one of the best I've tried from LUSH. This is also from their Easter collection, like Fluffy Egg. I just find that the bubbles don't last as long as I would like, but I was able to get many baths out of this by swirling this around in the water. I think I'm just going to stick to LUSH's skincare from now on.
Would Not Repurchase
Antibacterial Wet Wipes: I can't do my makeup without these at my desk anymore. I just love how handy they are. I always make an incredible mess with my loose powder, and these clean it right up. I can grab one of these whenever to dust my bookshelf, vanity, dresser, or anything, really.
Would Repurchase
Makeup Remover Wipes: Now, these are from the Dollar Tree, and I specifically remember purchasing these during my Project Pan last November. These burned my entire face, my eyes, my skin, you name it. I ended up using this package up by using them to clean off swatches and keep my makeup packaging tidy. For the price, I would recommend these for only that reason.
Would Not Repurchase
Japanese Cherry Blossom Candle: At first, I enjoyed this scent. Though as I continued to burn this candle, I just got sick of it. It smells too strong and "perfumey", and this could be because it is intended to be a body scent. The candle quality was nice as always, from BABW, but I won't be getting this scent again.

So there you have it, my recent empties. There's a new pile of them on the way, so thank you so much for bearing with me through these crazy weeks. I hope to blog more in the coming weeks, stay tuned!
