shopping - July Ipsy Bag 2013! (Beach Beauty)

Hello, my lovely readers!

I was so excited for this month's Ipsy, and now it has finally arrived! I've got a lot to say about what I received, so I'm going to go right ahead.

The Bag: There has been so much discussion about the bag itself this month. I've been generally pleased with the other bags. I really enjoyed May's bag, and I've been satisfied with the other bags. I'm not ordering Ipsy for the makeup bags, I'm ordering it for the makeup! I agree that the bag does look a little immature, but hey, it's summer. I don't care who sees me with a see-through pink plastic makeup bag on vacation, or anywhere else. I like how it'll keep my makeup dry at the pool or beach, and it's just a fun addition.

Derma E Microdermabrasion Scrub - Full Size: $32.50 (2 oz), My size: $16.25 (1 oz)
I've read on forums that many girls wanted this scrub. I'm happy that I received it, though I don't have much use for it. I hate to sound like I'm bragging when I say I've never struggled with acne, therefore I have no acne scars. I'm surprised they sent this to me, and I'm debating trading it, though I've never traded with anyone, but I'd love the Benetint instead!

Bh Cosmetics California Collection Eyeshadow sample
The price isn't listed for each individual sample, and I'm not going to bother with figuring out each price. I assume this sample is worth maybe a couple dollars. I just don't like the colours they provided us with. I'll use them, but a dark purple and a sparkly brown aren't very summery. I was hoping for a bright palette to use for fun beach days or late nights. They're not as pigmented as I expected either, it took me a couple swipes to get the swatches in this picture.
Please excuse the background mess!
Pop Beauty Pouty Pop Crayon in Coral Crush - Full Size: $4.16
This product is adorable. They're not sold individually on the POP Beauty site, but as a set of 6 for $25. I'm pleased with the colour I got, it gives a nice sheen, but with a colour that's not too overpowering. It looks natural and effortless, which is great for summer.
Coral Crush
Coola Mineral Sunscreen with SPF 20 - Full size: $36 (1.7 oz) My size: $5.14 (0.23 oz)
First off, this sample is tiny! This might be the tiniest we've ever received from Ipsy! I understand that it's sunscreen, and that stuff is expensive, but wow. I was expecting a bigger size, and I'm not alone. Though that's okay, I'm extremely fair and burn so easily, that this will be used up within the month. I already can't see myself buying a full size because of the price and how much product is included, but it's a brand I've never tried which I appreciate.

Big Sexy Hair Weather Proof Humidity Resistant spray - Full Size: $18.95 (3.4 oz) My size: $7.73 (1.4 oz)
I love the idea of this spray. I like how it feels light and unnoticeable on the hair, but claims to protect it from humidity. Lord knows I've needed a spray like this in my life. I tried it out and like the application and my hair seems to be staying in place pretty well so fair in this heat.

Value of the July 2013 Ipsy Bag - $33.28

This is one of the better bags for sure, and beats out last month's bags for sure. As always, I can't wait to see what Ipsy brings to us next month.
